Our Facilities
African Team Ministries
The African Team Ministries raise funds for social justice ministries in East Africa. Among the projects they support are: training of pastors in Kenya as peer educators in the AIDS Prevention Program; supporting displaced people in Uganda by giving these families agricultural tools and seeds to enable them to be productive again; and sponsoring literacy classes. Jewelry and wood carvings crafted by local artisans are sold in the United States, including an annual sale at St. Anne’s in the spring.

Relay for Life: The Grateful Living
St. Anne's sponsors The Grateful Living team, founded in 2001 by Victoria Reid. The team is co-sponsored by Reston’s Used Book Shop. The annual Relay for Life is an American Cancer Society event established over 20 years ago to raise awareness and solicit contributions for a cure. The Reston Relay takes place each spring at South Lakes High School, but the team is active from January through June each year. During the seven years in which we have participated, hundreds of teams representing cancer survivors have raised several million dollars to fund research, outreach, and patient services.
